About Me
Welcome to Ms. Tawny's School Counseling Website! My name is Tawny Chestnut and this is my fourth year as the school counselor for Dixon Montessori Charter School. I received my bachelors degree in English Literature and Education at California State University of Fresno and my Masters degree in School Counseling at Saint Mary's College of California. I am also currently pursuing my license as a professional clinical counselor.

I absolutely love my job! I have the joy of working with wonderful students and staff through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling. This year at DMCS, I function as the 504 plan and Student Study Team Coordinator as well. It is a passion of mine to collaborate with school staff and parents in order to best meet the needs of students. I believe in giving every student the best education and support possible.
